# MetLex > Retrieval over the Model Context Protocol (MCP) for EU and Swedish financial regulation: DORA and its RTS/ITS, GDPR, Finansinspektionen regulations (FFFS), and, in the Library, the public record of how the law is applied. MetLex returns verbatim passages with citation, deep link, authority layer and snapshot date; your model writes the answer. Nothing is trained on what you send. Run by Mettle AB, Stockholm. ## Connect - MCP endpoint (streamable HTTP): https://metlex.eu/mcp - Auth: connectors (claude.ai, Claude Desktop, Claude Code) sign in with OAuth 2.1; discovery at https://metlex.eu/.well-known/oauth-protected-resource. Other clients send `Authorization: Bearer `, with a key from the account page: https://metlex.eu/eu/account.html - Set-up: https://metlex.eu/eu/connect.html - Tool descriptions version: 0.5.0 ## Tools - search_law(query, k=5, region="eu"): the law. region "eu" searches EU acts; "se" adds the Swedish rules (FFFS). - search_library(query, k=5, region="eu"): the public record: ESA Q&As (Library EU), guidance of Finansinspektionen and IMY, and IMY decisions (Library Sweden). Library plan. - get_passage(passage_id): one passage, verbatim, with citation and hash. - send_question(request_id, question, note?, reply_email?): report a question that found nothing, so the gap can be closed. Send only the legal question: no names, personal data or confidential facts. Refusals are MCP tool errors (isError true) with the reason. ## Limits - k: up to 100 passages per call. - Free: 300 successful searches a month per account (all its keys together), 20 calls a minute. - Library: no monthly cap, 60 calls a minute. - One key per place: a key used from a second network within ten minutes is refused (409); add a key per workstation. - HTTP 429 carries Retry-After. ## Links - Plans and order: https://metlex.eu/eu/order.html - Terms: https://metlex.eu/eu/terms.html - Privacy: https://metlex.eu/eu/privacy.html - Sources: https://metlex.eu/eu/sources.html - Signed corpus manifest: https://metlex.eu/manifest.json
